Our Storied History

The Camp was started in 1925 by Mrs. Douglas and established specifically for girls. Her aim was to teach young girls life skills and the wonder of outdoor activities including horseback riding, swimming, archery, and camping. She felt that while boys had plenty of opportunities to explore Mother Nature, it was important that girls had the same resources.

For half a century this property has been full every summer with girls, and eventually boys too, who would camp, explore, learn, make new friends, and create memories. Now it’s time for you.

We invite you to be part of the journey
