Our Story
Our Story Began
The Camp was started in 1925 by Mrs. Douglas and established specifically for girls. Her aim was to teach young girls life skills and the wonder of outdoor activities including horseback riding, swimming, archery, and camping. She felt that while boys had plenty of opportunities to explore Mother Nature, it was important that girls had the same resources. This beautiful 115-acre ranch surrounded by rolling hills and forest has been the perfect place to camp ever since and now offers an experience for the young and old, girls and boys, families and singles – A camp for everyone.
For half a century this property has been full every summer with girls, and eventually boys too, who would camp, explore, learn, make new friends, and create memories. Now it’s time for you.
